Dr. Amir Shahlaee is a native of Athens, GA where he attended the University of Georgia followed by medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He received his Pediatric training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and his Allergy and Immunology training at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a member of American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI), American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (ACAAI) and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
His primary clinical interests include the treatment of asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis and other allergic and immunologic disorders.
In addition to his work in allergic disorders, Dr. Shahlaee trained in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the National Cancer Institute and was on staff at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has extensive experience in all phases of drug development and clinical trial design including spending five years as a medical officer at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He has co-authored multiple scientific and clinical journal articles and book chapters.
Dr. Shahlaee is board certified in Allergy and Immunology, General Pediatrics. and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
